offshore missions

The video below shows Sparky, our robot dog from Boston Dynamics, in action. Since co creation is key at Elia Group, our technicians tested Sparky together with Elia’s Internet of Things Centre of Excellence at the Stevin high voltage substation. The goal was to demonstrate his potential before deploying him offshore.
Sparky can help automate certain processes and make them more reliable. As a remote assistance technology, he supports teams in making decisions from a distance and increases the safety of our employees by reducing the number of trips and interventions in high risk environments.
