Which type of technician are we looking for?
Technician – Low voltage
As a low voltage technician, you ensure that the protection and control systems on Elia’s low voltage grid function correctly. Together with your colleagues, you carry out maintenance, repairs, and installations, using digital tools to work efficiently.
You often work in a small team and gradually build your expertise in using technical tools and systems. You actively contribute to on site safety and are given the space to take on more responsibility step by step within a crucial part of our electricity grid.
Technician – High voltage
As a high voltage technician, you detect faults in the electricity grid and perform electrical measurements to identify the cause. You are responsible for independently carrying out maintenance, repairs, and the installation of new equipment, using digital tools to support your work.
You lead a small team and support colleagues on safety, technical expertise, and the use of the right tools. In doing so, you help ensure a reliable high voltage grid across Belgium.
Technician – Cables and lines
As a cables & lines technician, you help ensure the safety and quality of the electricity grid.
You carry out measurements, inspections, and urgent interventions on underground cables and overhead lines, and are responsible for maintaining and repairing these critical connections.
You regularly interact with local residents, making you a visible face of Elia in the field.
A technical and human role, with impact across the entire grid.
Offshore Technician
As an offshore technician, you work on Princess Elisabeth Island, Europe’s first offshore energy hub. You are responsible for maintaining and installing new technical systems that are currently under development.
You work on a wide range of systems, are constantly challenged, and get the opportunity to further develop your technical skills and offshore expertise. Flexibility, eagerness to learn, and teamwork are key in this unique working environment at sea.
Technician OCE (Operations Center of Excellence)
As an OCE technician, you help ensure that the working methods and safety regulations at Elia are correctly applied across various technical teams, such as SUB, HVDC, LA&S, SecSys, and projects. You support colleagues in the field, help establish clear agreements, and contribute to safeguarding the quality of the work.
You often work as part of a team, gain experience with various working methods and safety procedures, and contribute ideas on how to make the work safer and more efficient. In doing so, you play an important role within Elia.
Your job as a technician

Controleren & testen You are responsible for testing and commissioning the protection and control systems on Elia’s low-voltage grid.

Onderhoud & kleine herstellingen You independently carry out maintenance, minor repairs and the installation of new equipment. You use digital tools and lead a small team.

Coachen You coach and guide team members on safety, technical knowledge and the use of tools.

Who are you?

Diploma of ervaring You have a degree in a relevant technical field (electricity, electromechanics, …) or equivalent through experience.
