Maintenance & infrastructure
As an engineer in Maintenance & Infrastructure, you help build and maintain essential high-voltage infrastructure, ensuring everything continues to run smoothly and safely. You can work as a Project Engineer, managing infrastructure projects from A to Z, or as an Asset Manager, responsible for overseeing and ensuring the reliability of existing installations.
In every role, you work closely with colleagues, contractors, and external partners. You combine technical expertise with a hands-on mindset, contributing to a robust, safe, and future-proof energy infrastructure.
Customers & Markets
As an engineer, you contribute to the future of our energy system, with a focus on reliability, transparency, and customer orientation. You help shape the electricity market of tomorrow and develop solutions that keep our grid stable, sustainable, and affordable.
You’ll join a team that runs market simulations, develops scenarios, and designs long-term plans for the Belgian and European transmission grid. You’ll help shape how we best serve our customers and how market mechanisms contribute to a safe and balanced system.
Whether you focus on market design, offshore integration, or grid development, you combine technical expertise with systems thinking and a broad perspective on the energy transition.
Balancing the net (NCC)
At the National Control Center (NCC), you monitor the balance between electricity production and consumption in real time. You continuously oversee the grid, respond quickly to deviations, and ensure a stable and secure power supply in Belgium and beyond. Through smart systems, international coordination, and precise decision-making, you help keep the grid balanced 24/7 — a crucial role at the heart of the energy transition.
