Your job in Datacom

As a Datacom technician, you play a crucial role in delivering a reliable and fault-resistant communication platform for Elia. This responsibility comes with a varied and challenging set of tasks:

  • Maintenance and management As a Telecom Technician, you are responsible for maintaining our Datacom technologies, keeping them in top condition to ensure optimal performance.

  • Network expansion You play an active role in the evolution and expansion of the Datacom network, helping Elia stay ahead in the telecom sector.

  • Multi-site operations Each day, you travel around Brussels with a company vehicle to various locations, including high-voltage substations, service centers, dispatch centers, and data centers.

Who are you?

  • Degree or experience You have a bachelor’s degree in electronics or telecom, or relevant technical experience.

  • Telecom You have a passion for telecom and are eager to keep learning about the latest technologies.

  • Independent You are able to organize and plan your work independently, and adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations.

  • Teamplayer You work well independently and also enjoy being part of a team.

  • Languages You speak Dutch, have a good understanding of English, and preferably a good knowledge of French or are willing to learn it.

  • Driving license You have a category B driving license.
